South Asian integrative health conference in Surrey

A conference on South Asian integrative health and global health perspectives is coming to Surrey next month.
The Canada-India Networking Initiative and the Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin will host a three-day event centred around the “fusion of modern science, cultural wisdom, and technology” in health care.
The conference starts Friday, June 5, at Surrey City Hall (13450 104 Ave.) with an awards ceremony, followed by a keynote from Dr. Sonia Anand.
Day 2 of the conference includes five sessions with talks and panels led by various health-care professionals, including the former CEO of Fraser Health, Dr. Victoria Lee. The day caps off with a banquet at the Empress Banquet Hall, and organizers describe it as “celebrating Canada and India: two great nations coming together.”
The final day of the conference on Sunday, June 7, has four sessions, including one moderated by Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade CEO Joslyn Young.
The conference includes time for attendees to network with one another and the various speakers.
Tickets for all three days of the conference and the Saturday night banquet cost $400, or $100 for a single day of the conference or the banquet.
