The Vancouver Folk Music Festival has just announced the full lineup and schedule for its 2026 edition, which takes place at ʔəy̓alməxʷ Jericho Beach Park from July 17 to 19. Over the course of the summer weekend, the annual event is serving up its signature blend of local favourites, global sounds, indie folk, and genre-bending collaborations.Staying true to the long-lived slogan “We are the folk, this is our festival”, the diverse lineup is a great way for attendees to discover new artists or revisit old favourites with a thoughtful balance of singer-songwriters, high-energy roots music, and everything in between. The festival’s daily collaborative sessions allow artists to stretch their creative muscles and make magic by playing with colleagues from around the world.Naturally, this year’s lineup includes several folk legends, such as English icon Billy Bragg, Grammy-nominated American singer Valerie June, fierce Brazilian artist Bia Ferreira, English guitar guru John Smith, and London-born, Brooklyn-based talent Teddy Thompson. They’re joined by a crew of up-and-coming contemporary crossover artists, including Hazlett, Ruby Waters, Amistat, Surf Hat, Haley Blais, Luke Wallace, Lindi Ortega, Ruby Singh and The Future Ancestors.
