Police say an Ottawa man is dead after being struck head-on by a school bus carrying several students in Chelsea, Que.
MRC des Collines police said at 3:30 p.m. Thursday they received calls of an accident at the intersection of route 105 and chemin du Pont-Alonzo.
Police said the 36-year-old cyclist was attempting to cross route 105 when he was hit by the bus, which was travelling northbound.
The cyclist was taken to a hospital in Hull. Police did not identify the man beyond his age.
No children were injured in the collision, police added.
Police said route 105 was closed for several hours for their investigation. It was reopened to traffic at 8:35 p.m.
