Montreal’s four goals were also its second-fastest four goals, home or away, from the start of a playoff game in franchise history.
The fastest four goals for the Canadiens came in Game 1 of the 1958 semifinals (8:55), when they beat the Detroit Red Wings 8-1. They went on to win that series 4-0.
