Winnipeg police say a 38-year-old resource centre worker is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a teen in February.

WPS says in February, they received a report that alleged that a man who was working at a resource centre in Winnipeg, befriended a teen client, before allegedly luring the teen to his house through social media, and allegedly sexually assaulted the teen.

On May 20, police attended the home in question and took a 38-year-old man into custody.

He is facing charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication.

Police say he has since been released on an Undertaking.
