The WNBA on NBC is back in full swing, and this weekend NBC Sports will bring you not one, but two matchups for your Memorial Day holiday, both of them featuring the New York Liberty.

Led by two-time WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart, the Liberty will host back-to-back games over the three-day weekend, starting with a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Dallas Wings and continuing Monday with an evening game against the Portland Fire. How to watch WNBA on NBC games this Memorial Day Weekend

The Dallas Wings, featuring 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers and 2026 Number One Draft Pick Azzi Fudd, head to New York to face the Liberty Sunday, with the game tipping off at 3:30 p.m. ET live on NBC and streaming on Peacock. Tune in early to Peacock, at 3 p.m. ET, for WNBA Showtime’s first-ever on-site edition live from the Barclays Center.

The action continues Monday night, when the Liberty return to their home court to host expansion team the Portland Fire. That game tips off at 8 p.m. ET streaming exclusively on Peacock, with WNBA Showtime starting, once again live from the Barclays Center, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

What to expect from this weekend’s WNBA match-ups on NBC and Peacock

The Liberty look to be in a good position to take both of these games, and Stewart is a big reason why. The season is young, but she’s averaging around 22 points per game and hovering near 10 rebounds per game, a very solid start for one of the league’s best. As a team, the Liberty field one of the top five offenses in the WNBA right now. And to make things even more interesting, by Sunday they might have one of the league’s best scorers, Sabrina Ionescu, back from injury. 

But that doesn’t mean these games are already signed and sealed. Bueckers and the Wings have an offense almost as potent as New York’s thus far this season, and they’re also an efficient shooting squad. The difference might be defensive, as Dallas might not be able to keep up with the Liberty’s rebounding skills in the paint. 

When it comes to Monday’s game, the Fire are still finding their footing as one of the league’s two new teams, and their stats are relatively low despite some exciting talent. It might take a while for them to put all of the ingredients together, but keep an eye on their defense. They’ve proven to be one of the league’s best so far this season at creating turnovers.
