Winnipeg police say a 37-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly witnessed a drug transaction in downtown.
WPS says around 4:20 p.m. on May 22, officers were patrolling near Ellice Avenue and Hargrave Street, when they observed what they believed to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
Following this, police took a man into custody. Officers were then reportedly able to find and seize a loaded 9mm Browning FN High Power handgun, individually packaged quantities of crack cocaine and fentanyl, and approximately $490 in cash.
Police have since charged 37-year-old Peter Sheldon Keeper with ten firearm and drug-related charges.
