Initial reactions and Observations
Harry Kane is the best player in the world. Argue with the wall.Dayot Upamecano, what a player he is too. He’s had one of his best performances this season today along with the Real Madrid games.Overall: a pretty good season for Bayern.
That’s it, everyone! Thank you so much for being around to watch Bayern’s last match of the 2025/26 season. We’ve got the World Cup coming up so get ready to watch Leroy Sane again (noooooooo). Until next time!
90+8’ — Full time! Bayern is the DFB-Pokal champion for the first time in six years!
90+4’ — Hiroki Ito, Raphael Guerreiro, and Tom Bischof all come on.
90+2’ — TOR! HARRY KANE SCORES THE PENALTY TO GET A HAT-TRICK!
90’ — Seven minutes are added on!

76’ — Lennart Karl comes on for Jamal Musiala.
68’ — Musiala (?) seems to have missed the goal. It was a decent shot, though.
67’ — This smog is making it difficult to see what’s happening on the pitch.
61’ — Konrad Laimer misses a sitter. Oh dear…
60’ — The match has resumed.
57’ — The match is temporarily suspended as pyro smoke is clouding the stadium.
55’ — TOR! Kimmich takes the free kick quick and passes it to Olise out wide. Olise dribbles down the wing and crosses it for Kane who heads it powerfully into the net. Bayern lead!
54’ — Chris Führich pulls Olise down and is given a yellow card.
46’ — Second half has begun!
Bayern couldn’t play their usual game because Stuttgart is being too aggressive with the play. This ref is not helping either, letting so many off-the-ball fouls slide. There’s enough time for Bayern to draw first blood in this match.
45’ — Only one minute is added on (after all those [non-]fouls, really?).
42’ — Bayern has a free-kick a bit far out. Joshua Kimmich lobs it in, and nothing comes from it. Kane got clobbered in the box and it wasn’t even called for a foul.
32’ — Bayern pile bodies into the Stuttgart box but the final ball was lacking.
28’ — Bayern slowly getting into the game but still no goal to show for it.
17’ — Maximilian Mittelstädt shoots from distance but Urbig dives low to his left just in time to put it behind.
15’ — Michael Olise tried sliding in Jamal Musiala on the byline, but the pass had too much weight and goes out for a goal kick.
13’ — Harry Kane fires from distance but the shot is wide; he was offside as well.
11’ — Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is in the stands, watching the match.
9’ — Deniz Undav tries shooting from a narrow angle but hits the side netting.
4’ — A Stuttgart player blasts the shot over the bar.
2’ — Stuttgart get a corner and the header is saved by Jonas Urbig. Michael Olise is subsequently fouled.
Kickoff — LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Lineups are out! Vincent Kompany is rolling with a widely predicted near-full strength team:
