How It Happened
Winnipeg scored on its opening drive. Brady Oliveira ran 2 yards for a touchdown, and Brady Lidster added the convert. Saskatchewan answered with a five-play, 86-yard drive that ended on an A.J. Ouellette 2-yard touchdown run, tied 7-7 after the Alex Hale convert. Winnipeg’s Evan Holm then intercepted a Jack Coan pass and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown. Lidster’s convert made it 14-7, and Lidster added a 50-yard field goal as the quarter ended for a 17-7 lead.
