The 2024 French Open finalist stayed consistent from the baseline and excelled at the net, winning 17 of 24 points.

Nisesh Basavareddy stunned Taylor Fritz, earning his first career Top-10 win.

After dropping the first two sets, Fritz finally got on board, winning a third-set tiebreaker, but Basavareddy’s ball placement and well-executed drop shot proved to be too much.

In the final match of the day, Novak Djokovic withstood heavy-serving crowd favorite Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in four sets.

After dropping the first set, Djokovic found his way back into the match late in the second set before ultimately prevailing with ease.
