Cuban-born
Bulgarian Olympic bronze medalist Javier Ibáñez has achieved a
decisive victory in his first match in the professional ring in a
fight in San Sebastian, Spain. Ibáñez left no chance for Anderzon
Lopez from Spain. The Bulgarian boxer achieved success with a
technical knockout in the fifth of the planned eight rounds of
the clash in the featherweight category, the Bulgarian Boxing
Federation reports. Lopez was on a streak of eight consecutive
victories, but Ibáñez showed brilliant performance less than four
months before the European Championships in Sofia (September 15-27).
