The Reel Film Forum is pleased to present to our audience Army of Darkness, directed by Sam Raimi.
Once more starring Bruce Campbell, and taking place after the events of the first two Evil Dead films, our tortured protagonist Ash is a man out of time. When the evil of the Necronomicon catches up with Ash at the S-Mart where he works (in housewares), he is plunged back in time to the medieval era, where he must desperately fight to navigate his way home to the 20th century.
In order to escape his fish-out-of-water doom, Ash must retrieve the Book of the Dead (with mixed results), which may undo the events that brought him to this ancient wasteland. Banding together — begrudgingly — with local royalty, a magician, and a beautiful young princess, Ash battles an evil army of skeletal dead seeking to control the world.
Praised decades later for its comedy and its seamless blending of horror and fantasy, Army of Darkness does not disappoint in providing laughs, fun, and nonstop entertainment.
