Peel Regional Police have announced that they have arrested 17 suspects allegedly connected to an international criminal organization known as “For Brothers,” accused of targeting South Asian business owners in Region of Peel, Canada, and the United States through extortion, shootings, arson, and threats.
The investigation, led by Peel Police’s Extortion Task Force with support from the OPP, CBSA, FBI, and FINTRAC, began in December 2025. Police say the network operated in Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, Surrey, and California, allegedly carrying out violent attacks against businesses that refused extortion demands.
Investigators linked the accused to 24 incidents, including 16 violent attacks involving arson and multiple shootings. Police said that 324 rounds were allegedly fired in incidents tied to the group.
Authorities executed multiple search warrants in April 2026, seizing six firearms, drugs, phones, SIM cards, and fraudulent identification. Police say more arrests are expected.

Prabhdeep Sohal, 22, Brampton — reckless firearm discharge, unauthorized firearm possession (2), firearm in motor vehicle, careless storage (2), knowledge of unauthorized possession (2), carrying concealed weapon, extortion, possession of loaded prohibited/restricted firearm, prohibited ammunition/device possession.
Ajaydeep Singh, 29, Brampton — unauthorized firearm possession, possession of loaded prohibited firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession, prohibited ammunition/device possession, careless firearm storage.
Rajan Singh, 28, Barrie — unauthorized firearm possession, possession of loaded prohibited firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession, prohibited ammunition/device possession, careless firearm storage.

Police say six accused could face immigration consequences after their criminal proceedings conclude. CBSA also detained six individuals on immigration inadmissibility matters; three have already been removed from Canada.
