Police have charged a man from Etobicoke with dangerous driving and other offences following a crash that left multiple people injured north of Brampton.
The crash happened on Sunday around 6:45 p.m. when police say three vehicles crashed on Highway 10 near King Street in Caledon, the OPP says.
Three occupants inside one of the vehicles were rushed to hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say one of the drivers had no valid permit at the time of the crash, and also ran a red light, as indicated by the charges.
Police closed Highway 10 for several hours while the investigation was underway, and police now say a 23-year-old suspect has been charged.
The OPP says Peter Wardi, 23, of Etobicoke, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, red light – fail to stop, and drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit.
