You can get in the game and learn new skills while staying active when the Brampton Sports League starts up again this summer.

With ongoing leagues for volleyball, ball hockey, flag football, basketball, the Brampton Sports League offers residents looking to get active a way to practice, learn new skills, and meet other members of the Brampton sports community.

Spring leagues are already running, with summer sign up starting soon.

The league is co-ed and open to residents 18 years old and over, and participants can sign up as part of an already assembled team or as “free agents,” who will be put together to form a team or placed on an existing team that does not have enough players.

There’s also a youth cricket league available again this summer.

“Enjoy friendly competition, stay active, and connect with others in a social and supportive environment,” the city says of the sports league.

The leagues start in June and July, depending on the sport, with sign-up starting on June 1.

Registered players receive a reversible jersey for “home” and “away” games. Leagues run at various locations across the city and vary by season. There are also limited drop-in spots open for those looking to practice, learn new skills, and meet other members of the community.
