A double-decker OC Transpo bus that was being towed near the transit agency’s maintenance facility on Belfast Road broke lose and rolled into the side of a grocery story early Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Ottawa police said it happened around 1 p.m. at the Farm Boy at the Ottawa Train Yards. No injuries were reported.
A city spokesperson said the bus was out of commission and was being towed in for maintenance. They said they’re working to figure out how the bus broke loose from the tow truck.
Route 42 buses to Blair are being detoured in the area.
