Heated Rivalry, the gay hockey romance series on Crave TV that became an overnight hit last year, will shoot season two in Montreal in July.
According to a May 25 listing on the Film & Television Industry Alliance’s Production List database, shooting will take place over the course of the month in Montreal and Toronto, continuing with production house Accent Aigu Entertainment.
“Two rival hockey superstars, disciplined Shane Hollander and cocky Ilya Rozanov, face unexpected feelings amid intense professional pressure. As secret hookups become harder to hide, Shane and Ilya must confront whether their relationship is worth risking their careers,” the listing says.
Created by Montrealer Jacob Tierney, the Canadian series turned its lead actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, playing Shane and Ilya, into international stars.
Tierney, who founded Accent Aigu Entertainment, served as co-president during season one. He will change roles ahead of season two, becoming chief creative officer, according to a report on Deadline.
