BALDWIN – Nadia Kelly recently completed her sophomore season for Baldwin varsity soccer, and it was indeed a fun one.
She was in her second season of soccer and played midfielder and forward. Her objective was to score, but Kelly admitted that scoring had been a challenge.
“We were working really hard,” she said earlier in the season. “But we have been progressing.”
The key to scoring, Kelly said, “is communication and driving it down the field.”
It was the second year of the program, and Kelly was able to see plenty of progression.
“We’re doing a lot better,” Kelly said. “There’s been a lot of improvement.”
Players like Kelly knew more about where to be on the field at certain times.
Cheerleading was Kelly’s other activity, but she especially enjoyed playing soccer.
“I like it because of the adrenaline and how open the field is,” Kelly said.
She was looking forward to scoring a goal.
“It would be so much fun,” she said.
Kelly is looking forward to the next two seasons of Baldwin soccer and hopes things will continue to improve for the Panthers.
