GRAND FORKS, N.D. — University of North Dakota men’s golf junior Kagan Kollar is one of 11 student-athletes to earn a spot on the 2026 Summit League Golf Academic All-League Team for his excellence in the classroom and strong performance throughout the golf season, as announced by league officials on Thursday afternoon. 

To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of his team’s competitions.

Kollar earned the honor for the second straight year and is one of only two male representives to be a multi-time recepient. The Maple Grove, Minn., native currently holds a 3.96 GPA in mathematics and was a finalist for UND’s Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this month. 

On the course, Kollar finished third on the team with a 73.69 scoring average and competed in nine of UND’s 10 events this season. He carded a trio of top-10 finishes and two top-5 finishes to help the Fighting Hawks finish with their best team scoring average in program history (291.76). 

 

Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league’s eleven institutions and voting is conducted by both the SIDs and facility athletic representatives (FARs). The team is made up of the five student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
