Tour de l’Île
Streets across the north-central part of the city will be closed Friday night and across most of the middle of the island on Sunday morning and afternoon for the annual cycling events. With the exception of some exits, highways will all remain open, and several overpasses are available to travel through the route. Details on road closings and parking restrictions at www.velo.qc.ca.
Mercier Bridge
Ramps on the Kahnawake side of the bridge toward the bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. To allow traffic through, the ramp that normally goes from the bridge toward La Prairie will be reversed. Traffic from the Kahnawake/Châteauguay will need to overshoot the bridge and make a U-turn at Old Malone Rd. The detour from the bridge toward La Prairie will involve making a U-turn at Route 207/221.
Highway 520
The eastbound service road will be closed from 3 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday, which will also block the ramp from Highway 13 south and toward Highway 13 north. The highway itself will be entirely closed the rest of the weekend from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, with traffic diverted to that service road, and down to one lane when the service road is closed.
Highway 30
In Vaudreuil-Dorion, the eastbound exit to and entrance from Route 340 is closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd. is partially closed until November over the highway.
At the interchange with Highway 20, one lane is closed from Highway 20 east toward Highway 30 east, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Victoire victory party
The Montreal Victoire PWHL team will parade the Walter Cup on Ste-Catherine St. between Bleury and Clark Sts. around 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by a party at Place des Festivals until 1 p.m. Expect high traffic in the area.
Laval firefighters race
The annual event will require closing the Lévesque Blvd. exit on Highway 19 from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, and the Notre-Dame Blvd. and Concorde Blvd. exits from Highway 15 from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Several streets in Laval will also be closed for the event. Info at coursedespompiers.org.
Continuing disruptions
Highway 10: Eastbound Exit 3 for Carrie-Derick St. is permanently closed as part of the rebuilding of the Bonaventure.
Highway 19 (Papineau-Leblanc Bridge): Two lanes are open on the bridge between Montreal and Laval in each direction, with partial or complete closings on some nights until the end of 2026.
Highway 20 (Vaudreuil-Dorion): Work to renovate the intersection of Harwood Blvd. and Bellemare St. continues until August. The work involves partial and complete closings overnight between Route 342 and Ranger Ave., and narrow 3.2-metre lanes and a 40 km/h speed limit otherwise. Detours will be set up using Chicoine St.
Highway 40 (Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge): The bridge is down to five lanes — two toward Montreal and two toward Vaudreuil-Dorion, with a fifth lane alternating directions (toward Montreal from midnight to 10 a.m. weekdays and toward Vaudreuil-Dorion from noon to 10 p.m. weekdays and all weekends and holidays).
Highway 520: Work on the overpass over 43rd Ave. is closing the service road between Riddle Ave. and 46th Ave. until about June 10. Work will also close 43rd Ave. and several other streets in the sector.
Jean-Talon St.: Work on building the Blue Line métro extension means parts of Jean-Talon St. are closed. Affected buses (in particular 141, 188 and 372) are detoured onto Bélanger and Everett Sts. to avoid those areas, and a temporary shuttle bus (No. 814) has been established along Jean-Talon and Bélanger Sts.
Ste-Catherine St. (Ville-Marie): Major work on the street and underground infrastructure means it is closed between St-Mathieu and Mackay Sts., and between de la Montagne and Peel Sts. Crossing streets are also blocked. Guy St. is closed at Ste-Catherine St.
Berri St. (Ville-Marie): Major work at the Berri-UQAM métro station has resulted in Berri St. being closed between Ste-Catherine and Ontario Sts., and de Maisonneuve Blvd. being closed between St-Denis and St-Hubert Sts. until November 2027. Traffic is detoured via St-Hubert, Atateken, St-Urbain or Ontario Sts., or René-Lévesque Blvd., while cyclists are being diverted to Atateken and Ontario Sts. STM buses have been cut short to avoid the area. For more information, visit stm.info.
Pie-IX Blvd. (Mercier—Hochelaga-Maisonneuve): Work to extend the SRB Pie-IX south means only one lane is open in each direction between Pierre-de-Coubertin Ave. and Notre-Dame St. Ste-Catherine St. is blocked at Pie-IX, so traffic is rerouted via Notre-Dame St. until end of June.
St-Urbain St. (Ville-Marie): The overpass over the Ville-Marie Expressway is closed for a long renovation until the end of 2026. Pedestrian access is maintained.
De Chateaubriand Ave. (Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie): Closed until the end of June for sewer work between Jean-Talon and Bélanger Sts.
