The Nice Lawn Tennis Club will host the inaugural New Vision Nice Open from June 8 to 14, marking the arrival of a new international women’s tennis tournament on the French Riviera.
Part of the ITF Women’s World Tennis Tour, the W35 event will welcome players ranked between 200th and 500th in the world, all competing for valuable ranking points and a $30,000 prize fund.
Admission will be free throughout the week.
A key step towards the professional circuit
The tournament will feature a mix of rising talents, established players and competitors returning from injury, offering an important pathway towards the WTA Tour.
The event also marks another milestone for the Nice Lawn Tennis Club, which continues its ambition to bring high-level international tennis back to the city.
An inspiring tournament director
The tournament will be directed by Marie Temin, a former top-20 French player whose career was cut short by a serious accident before she successfully returned to the sport through wheelchair tennis.
Now aiming for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, Temin says she is proud to lead the first edition of the event at her home club.

Promoting women’s tennis on the Riviera
Former world No. 61 Camille Pin will serve as tournament patron, while Nice-based artist Guillaume Cavalier has designed the official poster and trophies.
Nice LTC President Didier Frantz said the tournament reflects the club’s commitment to developing women’s tennis and strengthening Nice’s international sporting profile.

Founded in 1890, the Nice Lawn Tennis Club is one of France’s oldest tennis clubs and now counts more than 1,200 members.
With the launch of the New Vision Nice Open, it hopes to further establish Nice as a destination for international women’s tennis.
