There are few franchises bigger than Pokemon.

Since its debut in 1996, it has become a pop culture staple, with video games, movies, card games and even its own special edition Pop-Tarts.

While Nintendo no longer shares how much money it makes from the series, a sales report from 2017 says that it has made a trillion yen (around $76 billion Cdn).

Another hugely successful part of the Pokemon franchise? The mobile game Pokemon Go.

According to BBC Newsround, the game, which was released in 2016, passed one billion downloads worldwide in 2019.

The game has a yearly special event called Pokemon Go Fest where players are encouraged to meet up and play together in cities around the world.

This year’s event, which coincides with the game’s 10th anniversary, begins on May 29 in Tokyo, Japan, and will travel to other cities like Chicago, Illinois, and Copenhagen, Denmark, over the summer.

So, seeing as it’s such a big year for Pokemon, we decided to test your knowledge about the series!

Show us what you know in our quiz below!

So we asked and you answered!
