The highlight is definitely the side of pistachio ice cream.

From the outside, I was attracted by Le Parfait’s soft pastel signage that looks fun and welcoming. I knew I was in for a treat after I walked in and was greeted by the smell of fresh fruit and warm butter.

What makes Le Parfait different is its Lebanese roots.

One of the owners, Gerald, grew up in Lebanon. After living in Vancouver for a few years, he and his wife started to miss Lebanese flavours. So the couple decided to take matters into their own hands and opened one of Vancouver’s first cafes that offers Lebanese ice cream.

I loved the soft texture and subtle hint of vanilla in the freshly prepared Nutella Pistachio Crepe topped with bananas and Osmallieh made with kataifi dough ($14.49).

The highlight was definitely the side of pistachio ice cream. Other fan favourites include the Cheesy Chicken Crepe for something savoury, or a Lebanese Coffee if you are looking for a strong kick to keep the day going.

@forkingawesomevia This week, @Vancityjessie checks out a Vancouver cafe that you may not have heard of. It’s called Le Parfait and its welcoming owners are serving crepes and Lebanese coffee that are worth the trip back. #vancouverfoodie #vancouver #forkingawesome #vancouverisawesome ♬ original sound – Forking Awesome/V.I.A.
