And his latest turn was a masterpiece, featuring 11 strikeouts over six perfect innings to claim the top spot in this week’s Hot Sheet. The outing was only an extension of an exemplary month. In May, Sloan, still just 20 years old, allowed nine earned runs over 23 innings while racking up 32 strikeouts and issuing just two walks.
