Toronto Police have arrested and charged a Brampton man in connection with the theft of cash from an armoured vehicle in downtown Toronto.
The incident occurred on April 14, 2025, near Yonge Street and Dundas Street East. Police allege that two armoured car guards left their vehicle unattended while making a cash drop-off. During that time, a suspect exited a white pickup truck, entered the unlocked armoured vehicle, stole a quantity of cash, and fled the area.
The investigation, led by the Toronto Police Hold Up Squad, later identified an employee of the armoured car company as a suspect.
On May 13, 2026, officers executed a search warrant and arrested 35-year-old Dane Marson of Brampton. Police say a firearm and other evidence were recovered during the search.
Marson faces several charges, including theft over $5,000, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and multiple firearms-related offences.
