Article contentMONEY FLOWS, BUT NO FIX FOR HEALTH CARE
We had Premier Doug Ford finding $29 million for the purchase of a jet — before he had to backtrack on it — then we have the City of Ottawa spending about $20 million on an intersection at Baseline and Greenbank, and we have Ottawa spending billions on the LRT, which works now and then.

We have all these people, from city councillors to provincial and federal leaders, who are supposed to be working for the people, but they can’t find the money for our hospitals or medical care. A person like my aunt, who is 98, had to wait hours and hours for care at the hospital, until about 3:30 a.m., along with many others. This sort of thing has been going on for years, with no end in sight to get the system fixed.
We all keep voting the same people in, year after year, thinking it’s somehow going to change.
I would hope that someone, someday, will do the responsible thing, but I’ve lost faith in these people.

MACDONALD’S COURAGE
A note to my fellow Canadians who despise Donald Trump and everything American now — the same woke Canadians who won the battle to have Sir John A. Macdonald’s name, reputation and legacy erased from our culture and heritage.
Unfortunately, the fact is that, without Macdonald’s perseverance, integrity and courageous actions in the 1860s, our great country would have been conquered by the Americans following the Civil War.
Something to think about, my woke, misled friends.
