A pedestrian is in life-threatening condition after being struck by a vehicle in southwest Calgary on Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Bow Trail and 37 Street SW around 3:45 p.m. for reports someone was struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was rushed to Foothills hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene, according to police.
Police say they will be closing the intersection of Bow Trail and 37 Street for the investigation. Motorists are being asked to use alternate routes.
