Ty Majeski will lead the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field to the green flag for Saturday’s race at Michigan International Speedway.
The Seymour, Wis., native and 2024 series champion earned his second pole of 2026 and the 13th of his Truck Series career Saturday morning, laying down a lap of 39.257 seconds around the two-mile oval on his qualifying run.
“Clearly, we have the speed,” Majeski told Fox Sports.
Majeski enters Saturday’s race sixth in the Truck Series standings, 149 points behind leader Layne Riggs but 61 points above the Chase cut line with seven races remaining in the regular season.
Notable qualifying results
Cup Series star Christopher Bell will join Majeski on the front row, with Chandler Smith, Riggs and Connor Mosack rounding out the top five. Carson Hocevar, Cole Butcher, Gio Ruggiero, Jake Garcia and Spencer Davis completing the top 10.
Other notable qualifying efforts include defending Michigan winner Stewart Friesen in 12th, Ross Chastain in 15th, Kaden Honeycutt in 17th, Corey Heim in 23rd and Cleetus McFarland in 29th.
Tanner Gray cut a tire in practice and was unable to make a qualifying lap. He will start last (36th) on Saturday afternoon. Ben Rhodes (35th) turned the slowest lap of the session (44.607 seconds) after surprisingly running out of fuel on his lap.
