A longtime southwest Saskatchewan golfer has checked off one of golf’s rarest achievements.
Richard Berg recorded the first hole-in-one of his career Thursday morning on Hole 16 at Sask Landing Golf Resort.
The accomplishment was announced by the golf resort in a social media post congratulating Berg on the ace.

According to the post, Berg is the retired golf superintendent from Elmwood Golf Club and makes a few trips to Sask Landing each year to golf. The resort added Berg declined the traditional reserved parking spot often awarded for a hole-in-one.
The ace marks a milestone moment for the longtime golfer and groundskeeper.
