A new fried chicken chain is opening in Vancouver this week.
The hotly anticipated Dave’s Hot Chicken will be opening at 901 Granville St. on Friday, June 12, according to the company’s website.
“Spicy chicken restaurant coming soon!” reads the webpage. “Grand opening on June 12th.”
Originally sold at a stand in LA, Dave’s Hot Chicken has grown from a parking lot specialty into a billion-dollar chain with locations across the U.S. and Canada; there are also locations in the U.K. and the Middle East.
Vancouver’s location was announced last year, at the corner of Granville and Smithe in the former Cinema Public House space.
A sign up at the incoming location doesn’t give the days, but does note the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What’s on the menu at Dave’s Hot Chicken
Dave’s has a simple menu focused on hot chicken tenders and sliders, which are offered in spice levels ranging from “No Spice” to “Reaper.”
The casual restaurant also offers sides like a kale slaw, mac and cheese, and regular or cheese-topped fries.
