A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck off the coast of Cuba on June 8th, 2026. There are reports that the quake was felt along the Gulf coast including Central Florida.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 struck off the coast of Cuba on Monday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), GFZ added. There were no immediate reports of damages.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake at a 6.1 magnitude, with its epicenter 104 km west-northwest of Mantua, Cuba.

No tsunami warning or watch was issued after the earthquake, according to the U.S. National Weather Service.
