Will we see a ‘Ocarina of Time’ remake at the June Nintendo Direct?

It’s been a busy June for video game fans and on Tuesday, Nintendo will add to the chaos with a highly-anticipated Nintendo Direct.

It’s been some time since we’ve seen a Nintendo Direct, which showcases major games headed to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Last September saw the reveal of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Pokémon Pokopia and the release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, among other major announcements.

While we’re hopefully going to see some updates on Fire Emblem’s next game and possibly even get another look at the next generation of Pokémon in Pokémon Winds and Waves, there’s one title fans are hoping to see this June: a Ocarina of Time remake.

It’s been long rumored that Nintendo has been cooking up a remake to the acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time released back in 1998. But, why have Nintendo fans convinced themselves that it’s finally Ocarina of Time’s time? Well, an infamous leaker Nate The Hate recently got some big-time reveals right and now the YouTuber has predicted that the Ocarina of Time remake will get screentime at the June Nintendo Direct.

So, while there’s nothing concrete, the hope is there for Nintendo fans. We’ll just have to see if the rumored Ocarina of Time remake makes an appearance at the June Nintendo Direct!

West Coast fans will have to get up a bit early for this one, as Nintendo will broadcast its Direct at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT.
