Ermal Hadribeaj determined to master Alchemy

Ermal Hadribeaj, who was presented with the WBC Silver super welterweight belt by World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman, is vowing to close the range on lofty Absolute Champion Sebastian Fundora, confusing and confounding him on the inside.

Following the presentation at the WBC’s weekly presser at Sport and Chips, Ermal said he’s watched and carefully assessed Brian Mendoza’s KO victory over Sebastian, commenting: “Fundora is not unstoppable and I believe I have the skills plus the timing. Obviously I will fight Sebastian from the inside, using a strategy and a style he isn’t familiar with. This is going to be trouble for him. My nickname of sniper came from a friend, who saw my punch selection and precision. I don’t throw empty punches.

“In my most recent fight to become Mandatory Challenger I made Bakary Samanke miss a lot and I think he got very frustrated. This Silver WBC Belt  means so much to me. Being an Absolute World Champion is my next goal.”

Ermal’s Promoter Ahmet Öner said: “Ermal is not a classic boxer. He also avoids punches, he’s skilled and clever. Fundora is a good champion with height and reach, but he’s breakable. So how will Fundora deal with Ermal’s skills and cleverness?

“Our job is to get some tall, good, quick and fast  sparring partners. We have to, and we will level up.”
