The beginning of June was marked in red on my calendar, the final reminder to start going to the gym, considering that in mid-August I have a trip planned with friends who spend most of their day working out. I’ll be honest, I don’t remember the last time I went to the gym, and I’m not even sure what bothers me more there: the sweat pouring over me from every direction, the crowd (although I did, of course, book a private session), or the fact that every single exercise will be harder for me than a twelve-hour workday. Yes, I am that person who would rather sit in an office all day than go to the gym and do a 45-minute workout. Still, the fact that I decided I would look fit this summer overcame the somewhat toxic connection I have with the gym.

Another reminder for me was the new Dior wellness collection, which is going to take absolutely every euro from my bank account. While searching for the ideal gear for my upcoming workouts, since I do not own clothes suitable for any type of physical activity more complex than walking the dog, the new Dior collection caught my attention on social media. My desire for physical activity soon shifted toward yoga, after which I will most likely, completely calmly (for a change), greet the Sun, as well as every passerby on the street. When I saw the Dior weights and yoga mat, I asked myself: will posh workout gear really make me enter my long-awaited fitness phase, or will this be just another purchase in a series that will gather dust in my closet?

The collection named Haute Wellness represents exactly that: high fashion fitness gear. The collection features a yoga mat, a water bottle that can accompany you every day, a yoga block, countless weights, as well as special stretching bands. Although much of the collection is focused on yoga, fans of Pilates and cardio workouts will easily find accessories to complete their routine. I believe your trainer will not tell you that this Dior gear is essential for your workout to go successfully, but I certainly advise you to bring a little fashion drama into your fitness routine, at least through interesting sets or accessories such as sneakers and hairbands.
