Here’s everything you need to know about the Katie Taylor fight

It was officially confirmed last Friday that Katie Taylor will have her final farewell fight in Croke Park.

It is the first time a professional boxing event will be held at GAA HQ since Muhammed Ali fought there in 1972.

The fight is fixed for September 5th and Taylor will be up against Frenchwoman Flora Pili, who is currently undefeated 12-0.

Pili is the mandatory challenger for the WBC super-lightweight world title since Sandy Ryan stepped away from boxing to start a family.

Tickets will be hard to come by, and a mad scramble is expected:

When do tickets for Taylor v Pili go on sale?

General sale tickets go on sale on Friday the 12th of June. The cheapest tickets will be available from €38.70 in the David, Hogan and Cusack stands.

Family ticket packages will be prices at €125.50. This includes two adults and two children and seating in a non-alcoholic section of the stadium. The hallowed pitch tickets will be ranged from €106 to €1,505.

Pre-sale access begins, tomorrow Wednesday the 10th of June. Matchroom Boxing Fight Pass members can access tickets from 9am tomorrow.

As Lidl are part-sponsors of the fight, customers with the Lidl Plus App will be able to access the pre-sale from 10am on the app. Croke Park residents will also be able to purchase tickets from 10am.

The evening will also be broadcast through DAZN.

What time will be fight be at?

Ticketmaster have the event down as starting at 4pm, but there has been no official fight times confirmed just yet.

Eddie Hearne did mention he has a few tricks up his sleeve, including making the event a little more family friendly. A more cultural event involving music and entertainment could be on the card, especially with Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions involved.
