Surrey’s Jenn Gardiner re-signs with Vancouver Goldeneyes

Surrey’s Jenn Gardiner is staying in Vancouver for the next couple of seasons.
The team annouced Wednesday (June 19) that Gardiner signed a three-year contract through the 2028-29 season.
She turned down an offer from a PWHL expansion team during phase two of the league’s expansion distribution process. Since it was a foundational player offer, that means she was required to sign with any of the league’s 12 teams during Phase 3, which began at 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday (June 10).
Gardiner, who grew up in Cloverdale, played for the Vancouver Goldeneyes in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) in the 2025-26 season. In her 2024-25 rookie season, she played for Montréal Victoire before being traded on June 5, 2025, to Vancouver. She was one of the Goldeneyes first foundational players.
In addition to Gardiner, her teammate Izzy Daniel also received a foundational player offer during Phase 2 that she did not sign.
Daniel will also stay in Vancouver, as she signed a two-year contract through the 2027-28 season.
Gardiner and Daniels are part of the team’s phase 3 protections. Sarah Nurse, Sophie Jaques and Emerance Maschmeyer were protected during phase 1.
