Guilty in the murder of Prince Edward County native

A jury has found 32-year old Peterborough man Jesse Rowe guilty of second-degree murder  in the death of Prince Edward County native Cynara Lewis.

The 27 year-old Lewis was stabbed to death at a Peterborough apartment in September of 2023.

According to the Picton Gazette Rowe was also found guilty of aggravated assault in the stabbing of 33 year-old Daycota Csiszar.

Rowe, who yelled at the jury and cursed others in the courtroom, will be sentenced at a later date.

Cynara Lewis was a student at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute and won a gold medal in photography in a provincial competition in 2014.
