It came down to the game’s final possession, and the Las Vegas Aces extended their win streak to six games and won for the 10th time this season Saturday night with a 100-97 victory over the WNBA-leading Minnesota Lynx.

Las Vegas is now 5-0 and one of only two teams undefeated in Commissioner’s Cup play alongside the New York Liberty, who have played one fewer games than the Aces.

The loss marks Minnesota’s first loss away from home this season and snapped an eight-game win streak for the Lynx, who had not lost since falling to the Chicago Sky on May 17.

“Defensively, they (the Lynx) are disciplined in what they do,” Aces head coach Becky Hammon said. “They want to take away the paint, so we have to work for it.

“Offensively, what makes them difficult is that they play the right way. Nobody forces stuff, and they move the ball. Ball movement is the hardest thing to defend, and they move it better than anyone.”

A’ja Wilson led the way for the Aces (10-3) with 24 points and 10 rebounds, closely trailed by Chelsea Gray, who posted 23 points and stayed hot from beyond the arc with six 3-pointers.

This is the seventh time in Gray’s career that she has recorded double-digit points in back-to-back games, as well as tying a league record with 15 3-pointers over a two-game span.

The Aces opened up with a 16-6 run, and Gray picked up right where she left off with four 3-pointers in the game’s opening five minutes.

At the conclusion of the first 10 minutes, the Aces led 32-21 — the largest point total in a single quarter for Las Vegas this season, a lead in which they held on to until the final minutes of the game.

“We were playing out of our defense and going into transition in our secondary actions, which allowed for open shots, and we were able to knock them down,” Gray said. “We were sharing the ball really well inside and out.

“It wasn’t just 3s, either. We had some layups, and people were making good plays.”

In her second game back from injury, Aces guard Chennedy Carter played eight minutes and recorded four points on five attempts from the field. That was her first two baskets since May 31.

Lynx rookie guard Olivia Miles led Minnesota (10-3) in scoring with 29 points while shooting bettert than 50 percent from the field. She has scored in double figures in every game of her rookie season to this point.

Miles was selected No. 2 overall in the 2026 draft class and currently ranks second in the league for guards with the most points in the paint this season, averaging over nine per game.

“Miles is a gamer, she likes the big shots. From watching her in college, you can’t teach when kids love the moment, and you can tell she loves the moment,” Hammon said.

“I’m not surprised she is doing as well as she is because I think her game really translates to the pro level.”

These two teams will play two more times in the regular season, with the next game slated for Aug. 8 at Target Center in Minneapolis, followed on Aug. 15 at Michelob Ultra Arena.

Up next, the Aces will hit the road, where they have found success with a 7-1 record, to take on the Dallas Wings on Monday as well as a rematch of the regular-season opener at the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday,
