All east and west bound lanes on Hwy. 417 are expected to reopen five weeks ahead of schedule, with planned overnight construction coming this weekend.
The overnight work will occur between Woodroffe Avenue and Pinecrest Road on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, June, 20 lanes will close from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. and then again on Sunday, June 21 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additional ramps will also close by 11 p.m. as construction takes place. All east and west bound lanes, along with all ramps, will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, June 22.
This work is weather dependent. Should anything change, the Ministry of Transportation and Ottawa Traffic services will provide updates on rescheduling.
According to a release, the following traffic impacts will be in place on Saturday:
Overnight lane closures on westbound Highway 417 between Woodroffe Avenue and Pinecrest Road
Closure of the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp from Woodroffe Avenue
Closure of the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp from northbound Pinecrest Road
Closure of the westbound Highway 417 off-ramp at Pinecrest Road
No additional impacts to eastbound Highway 417 lanes are planned
On Sunday night, the following traffic impacts will be in place:
