The countdown is on for Caitlin Clark.

Clark on Monday made a fresh change to her Instagram profile, which boasts 3.7 million followers and has long been a reliable way for fans to see what the Indiana Fever superstar is up to.

But this change is perhaps the most significant of Clark’s career — and it points to one thing and one thing only.

Clark has edited her Instagram handle and changed it to @caitlin1. Her profile picture has changed too, to what appears to be a bunch of small blue “C” details. It is speculated that these nubs look like the outsole of a sneaker.

These changes mark the start of the rollout for Clark’s first signature shoe, releasing through Nike later this year.

Clark is poised to become the fifth WNBA player with a signature shoe when her Caitlin 1s come out.

Sabrina Ionescu, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart and A’ja Wilson are the only other W players with their own sneaker. Ionescu and Wilson are the others (beyond Clark) with Nike deals.

Clark’s shoe does not have a release date just yet, but it seems as if that information will be coming soon now that the All-Star guard is actively teasing more details.
