Join the Playful Palette Foundation and special guests for this summer’s sing-along event.

On July 11, the South Surrey non-profit organization is bringing the magic of music, imagination, and community with Olaf’s Summer Sing-along.

“This is a family-friendly outdoor event inspired by everyone’s favourite snowman who dreams of summer,” says Playful Palette president Sabine Lapointe in a release.

The sing-along will be held at Bakerview Park, 1845 154 St., South Surrey from noon to 5 p.m.

This event is entirely created and organized by a youth-only leadership team and will feature interactive activities, games, bouncy castles, children’s entertainment, youth vendors and a sing-along with Olaf and his princess friends.

The release states that this event is part of the Playful Palette Foundation’s ongoing efforts to increase access to arts opportunities and community programming for young people in the South Surrey and White Rock area.

While the event is designed to feel fun, playful, and magical for the children, organizers say the deeper goal is in creating affordable community arts experiences while also giving youth volunteers and performers meaningful leadership opportunities.

“We all cherish the arts more than anything,” said Lapointe. “This event is designed to be something joyful and interactive that also helps youth involvement in the arts.”

Lapointe says the event is expected to bring together small businesses, volunteers, and community organizations for an afternoon focused on creativity, family engagement, and accessible entertainment.

The Playful Palette is currently looking for sponsors, community partners, and local vendors interested in supporting this event and shares they can email theplayfulpalettefoundation@outlook.com if they are interested in contributing.
