A man is in critical condition following a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in Barrhaven on Tuesday morning, according to emergency services.
The serious collision occurred at the intersection of Greenbank Road and Strandherd Drive, Ottawa police said in a social media post.
Ottawa paramedics responded to a call shortly after 9:30 a.m. and transported a man to hospital in critical condition. Paramedics were unable to say whether he had been riding the motorcycle or in the vehicle.
As of 9:45 a.m., Standherd Drive was closed between Riocan Avenue and Jockvale Road, and Greenbank Road was closed between Marketplace Avenue and Berrigan Drive, police said.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
