“I want to do it before losing my memory. I’m afraid in 2028 or 2029 I’ll forget my name,” Turki said.

“Turki, it hurts to hear what you are going through! Your passion for the sport and the effort you put in has been already revolutionary. It has not been overlooked or taken for granted at least by me, and I’m sure by many others.

“I’ll be at my best to show you this sport no matter,” said Ryan on X.

Garcia’s message comes as boxing fans have revisited comments Turki made on social media in September 2025 regarding memory issues he was experiencing at the time.

In an X post on September 28, 2025, Turki revealed that he had started carrying a notebook with him because of increasing forgetfulness.

“I’ve started constantly noting things in a small notebook with me! The rate of forgetfulness has reached advanced stages with me, unfortunately,” Turki wrote alongside a photo of the notebook.

The post has resurfaced after a series of reflective messages from Turki this week led to speculation among boxing fans about his future involvement in the sport. While there have been no public reports indicating any recent deterioration in his health, the comments generated an outpouring of support from fighters and fans who credit him with helping reshape boxing’s landscape over the past several years.

Turki remains heavily involved in boxing and has continued announcing major events and long-term plans involving some of the sport’s biggest names, including Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez, and Ryan himself.
