The weather wasn’t ideal but this year’s Fairways for Fractures golf tournament raised some big dollars for the expansion of Belleville General Hospital’s Fracture Clinic.

In a release, the foundation says that it raised a record $190,000.

The foundation’s Associate Director of Annual Giving and Donor Experience,  Amanda Grydziuszko says people have stepped up to the plate to support the event for several years and this year was no different.

“We were sold out way before we expected to be. We had the most amount of sponsors we’ve ever had so it’s been fantastic. The rain set us back a little bit today but everyone came out with smiles on their face, played through and it was a great day. Everyone had a lot of fun.”

Grydziuszko says the Fracture Clinic is one of the busiest departments in the hospital.
