A cyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Calgary Saturday afternoon.
Calgary police say the collision happened at approximately 1:35 p.m. when a vehicle driving northbound on Centre Street, between 19th Avenue and 21st Avenue N.E., struck a cyclist heading in the same direction.
The vehicle then hit a parked car before stopping in the intersection of 21st Avenue, police said.
The cyclist was pronounced dead on scene.

An EMS spokesperson told CBC News the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital in critical and life-threatening condition.
Another person was taken to hospital in stable condition.
