Following a legendary NFL career, Tom Brady has stayed very active. He’s constantly in the public eye, and he’s been able to stay around the game in several capacities, including as a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and the lead NFL color commentator for Fox Sports.

Deep down, Brady would love to still be playing the game, though. He probably still thinks he could suit up and play quarterback for any team, and he would probably be right. But at 48 years old, this is a different time in his life. Some things, though, never go away. That includes one specific habit from his playing days that showed up in a viral social media clip once again.

The NFL’s official X account re-posted a video of Brady throwing a football around during a game he was calling for Fox. Aside from his form still looking fantastic, there was one idiosyncrasy that stood out: He kept reaching for his front pockets like he had a quarterback hand warmer on.

Some habits truly are impossible to break. That’s especially true when Brady played for so long in cold weather, and he was throwing the ball around in cold weather this time around, as well.

Right now, Brady is hoping that some of his habits can be transferred to Raiders first round pick Fernando Mendoza. As a part-owner of the franchise, Brady should have some leeway to act as a mentor for the rookie.
