A 42-year-old man was charged after The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) found drugs during a suspicious vehicle complaint.

According to a release, on June 10, 2026, around 2:30 a.m., OPP were responded to a suspicious vehicle in the Eganville area in Bonnechere Valley Township, just west of Bromley. As police were dealing with the individual related to the call, a quantity of suspected cocaine and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency was located. 

Timothy Haslam of Killaloe has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance as well as possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000.

The accused was released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 31, 2026.
