On Monday, a civilian, a police officer and a suspect were killed following shootings in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood in the city’s west end.
An “armed threat alert” issued for the area was lifted around 3:15 p.m. as “the immediate threat to the public is no longer present.”
At least one of the officers was shot shortly after 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Trans Island and de Courtrai Aves., according to Montreal police.
In a video obtained by The Gazette, multiple gunshots could be heard from a balcony in the condominium building across from the Supermarché PA grocery store on de Courtrai Ave.

Other videos also showed police entering the grocery store, as well as broken windows above the store, where there are businesses and other condominiums.
