Quinny the Bear Cub returns home safely

A young bear cub has safely returned home after a brief but memorable adventure that captured the hearts of local residents.
Mid-June, Quinny, the star of the new Quinny’s Quest adventure along the Campbellton Loop, was discovered missing from his usual perch. Somehow, the curious cub had taken an unexpected tumble from his stump and disappeared from sight.
Fortunately, a caring community member found Quinny and ensured he was safe. Recognizing that the young adventurer belonged to the Campbellton River Village story experience, they delivered him to a member of the Campbellton Neighbourhood Association for safekeeping.
Quinny spent the night under careful supervision before embarking on a few adventures of his own. He attended a Campbellton Neighbourhood Association board meeting, where he reportedly listened quietly to discussions about community projects and later enjoyed some much-needed rest beside a pond while recovering from his ordeal.
His disappearance sparked considerable interest online, with community members sharing posts and keeping an eye out for the missing bear.
The outpouring of concern demonstrated how quickly Quinny has become a cherished part of the neighbourhood and in fact the entire town.
“We were amazed by how many people reached out after hearing Quinny was missing,” said Richard Cronk, Campbellton Neighbourhood Association board member. “His little adventure reminded us just how much people care about this community and the stories we’re creating together. It was great that we were able to repair our little buddy and get him fixed back on his stump quickly.”
Quinny has now been reunited with Forest Guardian and is back at the Canyon View trail where he belongs, ready to welcome visitors exploring Quinny’s Quest.
Part of the Campbellton Loop experience, Quinny’s Quest invites families and visitors to get off the beaten track on a self-guided journey around the Campbellton River Village, discovering public art, trails, and local stories along the way.
The Campbellton Neighbourhood Association thanks the community members who helped ensure Quinny’s safe return.
After all, every good adventure deserves a happy ending.
