A fire at a luxury car dealership earlier this year has resulted in three people being charged with arson.
The early-morning fire on March 16 at Kulu Motorcar on the 5500 block of 1A Street S.W. damaged 25 high-end vehicles, causing an estimated $10 million in damage to the cars and the building, police said in a release Tuesday.
Evidence found at the scene led investigators to conclude the fire was deliberately set.
“Over the next two months, we reviewed extensive amounts of CCTV, executed search warrants, and conducted interviews, resulting in charges being laid against three people,” police said.

Each of the three suspects is charged with one count of arson. Two of them remain in custody.
Police said there is no evidence that the business owner had any involvement with the fire or a connection to the suspects.
